Lead Brand Film for Mind, the UK’s Leading Mental Health Charity

Over the course of two years, I worked closely with Mind, the UK’s leading mental health charity, gathering powerful stories from individuals with lived experience. Drawing from these, I brought together a diverse group to represent Mind and its mission in the fight for mental health.

I collaborated with a creative agency Mere Mortals and led the creative production from concept development to final execution. My role encompassed casting, storyboarding, scriptwriting, and directing the film. By focusing on authenticity I ensured we worked with people with lived experience for the film in order to accurately represent that the voices of those impacted by mental health challenges are also the ones championing the mission. The result is a compelling and heartfelt narrative that champions the importance of mental health support and advocacy.

Google-Funded Mental Health Documentary Series

As part of a long-term, Google-funded project, I co-produced a series of videos documenting the true-life stories of individuals living with specific mental health challenges. The project aimed to create an authentic and educational resource that sheds light on the realities of mental health.

I co-produced, filmed, and edited "Hayley’s Story," a poignant short film in which Hayley shares her personal journey with depression. Working closely with Hayley, I crafted a narrative that is both raw and empathetic, highlighting the complexities of living with mental health issues while maintaining a respectful and sensitive approach. The film serves as a powerful tool for raising awareness and fostering understanding of depression.
